Good News Thus Far....

We have been delighted to hear from the families who have already had a few days with their pups.  They have adjusted well and from what we've heard they have had no problems with accidents, which makes us very excited about the way we went about introducing them to potty training prior to entering their new homes.  We're excited to have one more week with pink, until her family is back into town.

Also very relieved that Ginger and Rusty have had no problems adjusting to the pups leaving. They are as happy and crazy as ever.

Stay tuned.....

And Then There Was One…..

Six of our original 7 pups, have moved onto their new homes!  And the last one will be going to her new home when her family gets back into town. It's been a bittersweet experience watching all our little ones departing. Exciting to see them move on, to their very own loving families to start a new life, but yet it's a little sad not having all these crazy cute vizsla’s running around.
Developementally the pups were doing soooo well.  They were doing most of their pottying outside, the only time they go inside is at night when they are down in the puppy area alone, and not given access outside in which case they use the potty pads.  They have been making it through the night though the past couple weeks, and have started ringing the bell in the morning and I come down and let them all out.  I think that has been the most surprising development-their use of the bell.  We really wanted to try and work on the potty training as much as possible to make their transitions into the new homes easier for their families.  However with 7 puppies it seemed a little overwhelming, but having the bell in their dog area and learning by example from Ginger and Rusty ringing the bell to go outside, it seems to have made an effect.  Now they will obviously still need some help and coaxing once in the their new homes.
It is so sad that my camera has been broken, because I’ve missed a lot of cute things, that I’m sure you all would have rather enjoyed.  However I was able to find some pictures on the memory card that had not been posted and touched my heart, and I was able to get a few good pictures through other means.  This truly has been a wonderful experience and we look forward to keeping in touch with all the families that have become part of our vizsla family.  We will be posting pictures of all the pups with their new families soon!
IMG_1939
These two were quite the pals, cuddle buddies, wrestling buddies, and trouble making buddies.  So adorable the bond between these two!
IMG_1958
Kalvin has loved the puppies, and giggles at almost everything they do nowadays.
We’ve really tried to expose the dogs to as many things as possible. Babies, children of all ages, noises, and other animals.
                   IMG_2031
The last picture taken of them all together…
                 IMG_2116
The puppies all really enjoyed playing in the garden.
IMG_2130
Alta (Pink) has been such a crazy/feisty girl, but can be just sooo sweet. We truly will miss her!
IMG_2151
Yellow is so calm comparatively.  Everyday they look less and less like puppies and more and more like adult vizslas.  I love these little boogers!
IMG_2155
One thing I have really loved about Ginger and Rusty is they both have green eyes. Ginger’s are kind of a mix of chesnut and green, and then Rusty has these light but fierce green eyes.  So each pup has such a unique but beautiful form of green.  Although Yellow’s eyes haven’t changed from blue yet, but I’m sure they will be beautiful little peepers.
                IMG_2173
He stole my seat! I think Dark Blue has some Rusty in him.  This is something Rusty has always done. I’ll get up from the couch or from the bed, anywhere really and he will steal my spot as soon as I get up.
I guess the main things that are transitioning these guys from looking so much like pups is they’ve gotten their legs.  They have such long slender legs (supermodel legs if you will) and their ears have practially quadrupled in the last couple weeks.
We have been so grateful for this opportunity, and already have so many interested in our next litter. Which will not be having one however for atleast another year.  But we are truly grateful for all of the wonderful homes that have been opened up to these deserving puppies.  Vizsla’s truly are an amazing breed, and we have no doubt that the families of this litter are more than qualified to care and shower these pups with love, and provide them with all that they stand in need of.  We’re grateful for the friendships we’ve made with them, and excited to keep in touch and watch as these pups learn and grow, and really become a special part of someone’s family.
Family photos of each pup coming soon!

Technical Difficulty...

I am so sorry for the famine of updates, the camera broke a week and half ago, and so i haven't really been able to get any pictures or videos of the pups. Which is oh so sad since they are constantly doing things that I absolutely adore. However I will update you on their wonderful developments. They are all getting sooo big.  Yellow is so big that our scale no longer registers his weight because he's over the max weight.  Also they have become so adorable running around, wrestling, growling at each other.  They are really starting to act like Vizslas now a days they come running whenever they hear or see us.

Also the pups are doing almost all of their pottying outside.  We leave the door open for them, and then when we have the door closed off at night they use the pee pads.  They are smart little boogers.  Infact Yellow has been paying attention to mom and dad- he rang the bell the other day, and waited by the door till Jeff let him out, and then went out there to potty.  Hopefully the other pups will follow suit soon!

In regards to their development- they are completely weened!  As for the behaviors, they are right on schedule.  We're working on no biting or chewing on anything other than toys, but there are 7 of them and only one of us most of the time since Jeff works, but they will get it once they are home with their new families and have more one on one time.  Also they will be 8 weeks Oct. 25th, and that is when they will start going to their new homes.  They are getting their first round of shots tomorrow the 21st.   Well I'm excited for the little puppies to move on to their new homes, and for their families to get to know them, shower them with love and experience the fun stuff I get to see them do on a daily basis.

For other viewers I invite you to stay tuned for future litters, and updates on the canine loves of our lives!

Spotlighting

In birth order we will show each puppy and talk about their development and anything else we think you may want to know….

YELLOW:
               IMG_1523
Birth Weight: 15.2 oz.      Current Weight: 31.35 oz.
Yellow was the biggest of the group and has continued to hold that title.
He is sooo cute and chubby.  Yellow has white on his chest similar to the markings of ginger and rusty.  And as you can see he has a little on the toes of his back feet.  From day one he has been a climber, sneaking out of the doggy bed, and getting Ginger worked up.

GREEN:
             IMG_1567

Birth Weight: 14.00 oz.           Current Weight: 25.80 oz.
Green was the 3rd largest pup from birth but is now 4th.  He is the darkest of the lot by a couple shades-so he will definitely be a dark boy.  Green has some white on the chest and the toes of both back paws.  He already seems to have such a personality, he really reminds me sooo much of Rusty!  I think this little guy will be a lot of fun! A Deposit was placed on Green and he has met his new family: Tammy, Connor, and Lauren congrats!

ORANGE:
         IMG_1533
Birth Weight: 13.70 oz.     Current Weight: 23.80 oz.
Orange is one pretty lady.  She kind of goes with the flow, she’s not as aggressive as the others, which leads me to believe that she’ll be pretty easy to train (well vizsla’s are already easy to train so she’ll work extra hard to please you)  Orange has a very tiny spot of white on the chest, and on her back left paw.
Orange has been reserved. Brandon Sanchez and family congrats on this lovely lady joining your family! She truly is a sweatheart.

LIGHT BLUE:
       IMG_1540
Birth Weight: 14.35 oz        Current Weight: 29.90 oz
Light Blue has been the second heaviest since birth, but has definitely tried giving yellow a run for his money.  He’s a little chunker, and our lightest shade of red puppy. And through looking him over we’ve found no real visible white markings-making him our only solid pup. Light Blue was trying to open his eyes last night during weigh ins.  He is the first we’ve seen trying to do that. He seems like he will be a definite cuddler.

PURPLE:
        IMG_1546
Birth Weight: 13.40 oz        Current Weight: 28.00 oz
Purple is currently our biggest girl.  Purple has no chest markings but does have a very small amount of white on both back paws. She is one of our more active ladies, and can usually be found cuddling it up with one of her brothers.  She has probably made us laugh the most with her funny sleeping positions, and behaviors. Later in the post you can watch a funny video of her during a feeding. Brady and family fell in love with purple and are excited about this sweetie and can't wait to bring her home- and placed their deposit on her, so purple is no longer available.

DARK BLUE:
       IMG_1545
Birth Weight: 11.40 oz       Current Weight: 25.80 oz
Dark Blue started out as the smallest of the group but has outgained 2 of our girls and has caught up with Green.   He is the sweetest boy I think, and enjoys squeezing into tight spots-like under or behind his momma, so I’m guessing he’ll be quite the cuddler. Dark Blue has a little white on his chest, and a small spot on the toes of both back feet and his front right paw.

PINK:
       IMG_1556
Birth Weight: 11.55 oz           Current Weight: 24.05 oz
Pink was by far the hardest to get a good solo picture of.  Not because she’s not as cute as the others, because I think she is one of the cutest, but because she is SOOOOO active.  She was standing up on her legs and walking all over the place]- so most of her pictures were blurry or she completely walked out of the frame.  So you want a determined little lady?- pink is for you.  Pink has white on the chest but none on her paws.  She’s a climber, cuddler, she does it all.  This is a pup you’ll want to keep an eye on. In early November Pink will be joining Carolyn & Erich and become the newest addition to their home.  Sorry Pink is no longer available!

Now for some cute group shots of the bunch…..
           IMG_1478
Green and Yellow are little partners in crime. We were constantly finding Ginger frantically trying to usher them back into the doggy bed with her.  Those faces are just tooo cute! Definitely love how wrinkly vizsla pups are…
              IMG_1489
Pups are packed up and ready to get their tails docked and dew claws removed.  Dr. Ralston did such as awesome job with these little wigglers.

 IMG_1514
Look at that pretty momma!  Ginger has been sooo good with these little stinkers.  And she has been sooo awesome and trusting letting all our potential puppy buyers hold the pups and get a good close look at them.
IMG_1562
Feeding Frenzy
So cute how the puppies knead Ginger.  This time however it appeared that Purple was petting another puppy.  Made us chuckle.

Partners In Crime….

It may not have been love at first sight, but these two have grown to love eachother soooo much.  Ginger was super excited for a new little playmate when we went to get rusty.  When she realized he was staying for good-she kept her distance for a few days.  It didn’t take long for Rusty to win her over though.  She LOVES having someone to wrestle with, and they make pretty good cuddle buddies.

                    Picture 5

Now these two lovebirds hate being seperated.  If one ends up on the other side of a door from the other they both will lay right next to the door so they can be as close to eachother as possible and they will sniff under the door vigorously, and some whining occurs.  But when they are reunited you would think they had been apart for weeks.

                  Picture 4

They love running water….sometimes they will sit right infront of the vanity and look at us, and then the sink, back at us, back to the sink. This is their way of saying “I would like some running water please.” , and who could deprive them when they’re so cute?

             Running Water Feins

They truly do love eachother, and enjoy doing everything together. The perfect vizsla team. I love how they look like they’re holding hands with their paws crossed.  If people took notes on their storybook romance……

                              They Loves Eachother

Excuse my delightful expression in this one. I was about 6 months pregnant and was halfway asleep with the puppers, when Jeff pulled out the camera…..just another example of how loving they are.

                                Picture 7

Then Kalvin our little baby boy joined the mix, and now we’re one big happy family!
