WEEK 2 for these pups was pretty much a blur -so much happened! Early on in the week Slate’s eyes began to open and by the end of the week they all had opened their eyes. They are becoming so mobile, and walk all over the place. We love once their eyes open, because then so many things about their personalities start to present themselves. A few puppies have been wrestling and gnawing on one another as well, so we’ve got a playful little bunch. ONLY 3 MALES AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME! Call 303-842-4041 to inquire about RESERVATIONS.

One of the most exciting things about the pups eyes opening is they begin to find a place distanced from where they sleep to potty. For the most part our pups are practically potty trained at 8 weeks when they are transferred to their new families. We’ve tweaked our set up just a little this go around in hopes that they will ALL be completely potty trained at 8 weeks.
Within the whelping box there is this separate potty are, with a grate, and removable tub underneath.
As you can see from here there is another little doggy door that leads outside…
To our custom made “potty platform” as Jeff is dubbing it.
It’s even got sod, so that the pups get accustomed to going potty in the grass, and Jeff rigged this table up with it’s own sprinkler system so we can maintain the grass…
Platform is complete with drain, so we can release water as needed….
One side and the top swing open to make cleaning up poop easier. This will be nice for the pups to get outside and play/potty, and we don’t have to worry about them being nabbed by one of the many large hawks out here in the country!
More updates coming soon!
